VT-Lightwave upgrade

Is Newtek not giving any upgrade path for VT[3] owners to Lightwave 8. I don't expect a free upgrade but a discount off of the full price would be nice. I just can't justify $1600.

My Authorized NewTek Dealer pricelist lists "VT[3]™ Upgrade to full LightWave 3D® [8] with Manual" ... no point in my quoting a price (I am prohibited from selling into the US anyway) but you should be able to get a corresponding deal locally.
