Control quality from the source - Linux

Hi Hi,

We run several cloud flames in the public cloud and we've been using NDI to stream back to on-prem and into an apple TV.

One thing I'm struggling with is bandwidth, it seems like no matter what I can't get the stream to playback smoothly.

What I wanted to find out is if there's a way to control the quality by setting something in ndi-config.v1.json.

I've read up on the docs but getting somewhat confused at this point.

High Bandwidth NDI is not user bandwidth adjustable, the video resolution and frame rate will determine the bandwidth of the signal.

Are the AppleTV units connected via wired Ethernet or WiFi? NDI is designed for 1 gigabit networks, if these units are connected via WiFi, I wouldn't expect it to work to well.

Otherwise, you can use a tool called NDI Bridge running in Local mode (included with NDI Tools on Windows) which will let you convert High Bandwidth NDI into NDI-HX, which will much more likely to work over WiFi.
