Hi,

I added a Tile Mixer 2D Texture,
in RmanCollect and RmanNodeCollect windows versions,
for varying tiling image textures,
seamless texture or not, push the 2 parameters, even high numbers
until you get a good result, different seed may help too.

Triplanar mapping for Tile Mixer node

Hi,

I added a Triplanar mapping option for the Tile Mixer node version,
similar to Cubic mapping, but with a blending effect,
so a bit slower to render.

I added a "Sharpness" blending parameter for Triplanar mapping (TileMixer node only),
also a "Seed Per Axis" option, increment the current seed per axis,
for avoiding miiror effect in this mapping mode.

On a another side, Truchet texture has a new "Maze" type.

..But this last "Sharpness" addition broke something when loading 2D texture,
so I recommend to download the last version of RmanNodeCollect.

I found that Truchet texture generates also infinite patterns,
combined with kaleidoscopic deformations from DPKit,

Truchet Texture node + Mirror Tool node + ScalarToBump node,

Concerning the tile mixer node; would it be possible to add a random rotation offset/edge noise, so that individual tiles could be rotated(and their edges blended with a noise input)?
I'm sorry if my request sounds confusing.


(example taken from the uber texture node for blender)

Would you also consider adding image inputs to the Image Bomber, Stained Image and Tile Mixer nodes(currently BG only)?

That's already asking a lot, sorry for that. :|

May be not what you expect,
but I added a "Tile Rotate" parameter in the Tile Mixer texture and node,
the older "Tile Offset" has been renamed as "Tile Move",
so tiles can be moved and/or rotated.

..Complicated, because we haven't really image node, input or output,
but mapped image, while RmanCollect nodes make their own mapping internally.

Can tile mixer do some sort of height-based blending? I assume it's not as easy as plugging the corresponding height map into the Mixpow input...

Tile Mixer is for hiding tile seams of a unique texture, using randomisation with a Power level,
not sure how a heightmap could help here.

Height blending is more for mixing a secondary texture through a main texture
using a bump/height map,
that something you can easily do with a native Mixer node.
