The Position:
RacerTV is looking for an experienced, professional Tricaster operator to produce live race events. The ideal person will be able to handle setup, participate in pre-production planning and meetings, call shots, maintain the look and feel of a production, effectively communicate with staff and crew, and ultimately deliver a high quality show. In our work flow we have a producer (Tricaster operator), director (switcher), creative director, editor, IT guy, 4-5 camera men, two announcers and a pit reporter.

RacerTV produces live events for MX Sports who owns and operates several motorcycle race series. Specifically the Grand National Cross Country Series (GNCC) and the Loretta Lynns Amateur Motocross National which takes place each year the beginning of August. The GNCC series starts March 7th (as part of Daytona’s bike week) and goes through November 1 (http://gnccracing.com/events). The GNCC series consists of ATV, Motorcycle and UTV races. ATVs race on Saturday (2 hour show), Bikes race on Sunday (3 hour show). UTVs run a limited schedule and race for one hour on Saturday after the ATVs.

Typical work week for a GNCC consists of arriving Friday for setup, Saturday and Sunday are race days (broadcast). Role call is typically 7 am and racing starts at 1 pm.

Desired Qualifications:
• Ability to operate a Newtek TriCaster 860
• Experience with LiveText a plus
• Experience in TV broadcasting environment
• Knowledge of a Yamaha digital sound board a plus
• Knowledge in current digital recording formats and systems
• Practical knowledge in video system conversion and compression
• Ability to operate Final Cut Pro or other editing software a plus
• Understand some I.T. functionality and its basic setup configurations
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work with a team environment or independently
• Must have reliable, functional transportation to travel to races

Pay is commensurate with experience.
