Projector or second monitor not detected

Just build a new computer with windows 7, made all VT5, QT, MS updates and updated the video card (Geforce 8400 GS). No image to 2nd monitor and the VGA window shows "Projector or second monitor not detected." I only see VT5 program background in 2nd display.

Better graphics card

Problem fixed. Just needed a better graphics card. Was originally running a pci graphics card but went to pci-e. Stay away fom pci, go to either AGP or PCI-e.
