Null objects

Not doing nothing....
Im trying to write a node driven by a null object.
I am trying to create a drop down list of all null objects in the scene.
I can pretty easily get a list of all the objects in the scene, but none of them are returning the nulls ?
Ive tried itemInfo and I think sceneInfo, but as I said they are only returning objects. There HAS to be a class somewhere keeping track of null objects. Any one know what and where ???

I think the common route is to pick out all objects (iteminfo) and check if they are meshes or not (objinfo, meshinfo or numpoints == 0).
