Anybody up for a London Lightwave gathering before Xmas? in the next week or so? Maybe we'll even get LW11.5 before then!

Righto - Lightwave 11.5 is here and it's great! Shall we have a london lightwaver gathering next week? It's been an age since the last one!
If so - are there any days next week you definitely can't do? Provisionally, I'd suggest next friday (8th Feb) - any good for everyone?

Talking to a few LW folk on facebook, next Thursday sounds good. I'll do a flyer and start organising. If anyone has an idea for a venue, let me know. I'm happy to host it at my office, but as you all know - it's a bit on the small side!

OK - after some discussion on the Facebook group, this is the plan:

Been a while since the last one - but at last we have a good reason to hang out. Lightwave 11.5 is here and it's a cracker of a release. Come along and take a look at it - plus chat with other 3D users. There may be some Zbrush demos too as I'vee been really getting into it recently - and 4r5 has some very cool features too!
Beers afterwards at the Blue Posts on Berwick Street.

*BIG UPDATE!* There's a change of venue. Simon Percy at Darkside Animation studios have graciously offered us the use of their office (and conference room) for Wednesday's meet. Darkside have done some really cool work in LW (and might be looking for LW people for work too!). Their address is:

Thanks to everyone who came - was a fun evening. A big thanks to Andy and Simon at Darkside for letting us host it at their office. It worked out great, and I'm sure we'll do the next one there too!

Nope, no need to book. The more the merrier! We encourage people coming to bring along examples of their work/projects/doodles done in lightwave if they want to share (usually as Quicktimes/AVIs/MP4s etc on USB sticks). Always nice to see what people have been up to!

But don't worry if you don't have anything LW-related you want to show, just bring yourself :)

Edit: If you use facebook, then join our lively group there - and add yourself to the event there, so we get a better idea of numbers!
