Just Imperfect Vertical Lines


I'm trying to just make a nodal texture with only vertical lines. They can have varying widths and distances from each other. I can get very clean lines using the grid node with a high Y scale, but I think I want them to be less parallel and have a little variation to them. Any ideas on how to do this?

try plugging a procedural node into the U tiles and mortar width. that should give you some nice variation.

"Less parallel" lines will eventually intersect. Does the op mean "wobbley"? Or "only mostly straight, but never intersecting"?
