does Director recognize goal objects?

I am currently working on setting up a charater in LW but I will eventually export it into Director and animate it there. I was wondering if I can move goal objects instead of each individual bone to move the character in Director.

Parent the character to a null-object (inside LW) and move that with Lingo code inside Director.
