Bulge Tool and Invalid Object Data Error

Trying to import a regular .obj and I get an Invalid OBJ data encountered error. The Object opens fine in LW???

Also - can't seem to get the bulge tool to work on anything. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I would send the object to LW3D group through Fogbugz so they can see what is up. Or just save the obj to lwo or abc.
