Babylon "6" warship of the dead

When the first rumors spread that Babylon still exists, everyone believed in a myth. As the intergalactic intelligence (ICA) credibly reported the ship was spotted a few weeks ago in the next space sector 27X + 12Y + 69Z. It seems to have been abducted by pirates and has been massively rebuilt. The firepower of the ship can only be estimated. Due to the visible armament of the ICA assumes that ship now belongs to the class of planet destroyers. The current route of the ship suggests that the ship is heading for Earth...

Cool! Very well done. Can't have too much Vitamin B5, or 6!
Andrew Crook had offered the model for download but i can't find the link anymore.
with Octane PBR surfaces and a little kit bashing the model looks great.
it was a lot of fun to work on the model and set it in scene and gave him some freely invented "updates".

great work by andrew! really cool! :)

Great work, as always! Are those invidiual lights on the ship or luminous poly? You've really nailed the space lighting! The first render is really atmospheric (no pun intended) due to the music and voice.

Now if you could stop showing off how good you are and give the rest of us mortals a chance to catch up.... :p:D:cool:

hehe :) ok i understand Adrian. i'll shut up for a few days then! ;)

Let's move on to the lights. Yes, these are all light emitting surfaces. and in fact the gaussian spectral variant.
so not banal black bodys variant (or rgbspectrum) but gaussian spectrum based. more about this here.

with this you can create this kind of looks with octane without the hot pixels killing you.
with this method there are no hot pixels even with low render settings for the kernel.
