Aura has become Mirage???

Hi,

I must admit, I've been away too long. I haven't used Aura for like a year or so because I was too busy using LW :)
I regularly check Flay.com for news. All of a sudden I bump into an advert on Flay talking about Mirage. So I check it out and notice that it's GUI is almost exactly the same as Aura's. Did Newtek sell Aura to Bauhaus Software??

They never owned it; they were in 'cahoots' together for distribution purposes. Now, Bauhaus is in charge of that process. Other than that, it's all in the legalese.

Some things look the same and act the same. But there are quite significant differences, though.

It sure looks like it rocks. I'm glad I'm inbetween jobs for a couple weeks. I can work on my own stuff again. My order is out the door as I type :D .

From what I understand: NewTek licensed Aura from TV Paint [the developer], and still does, now Bauhaus Software is selling that product [not sure who is actually the current owner and who licenses it] as Mirage.

I believe there are threads on this topic at the http://www.bauhaussoftware.com/ forums [click the support link]

if you own Aura you may be able to upgrade to Mirage at a discounted price.

The deal is that the license is tied to a Duo Dongle for both Mac and PC, so its Dual Platform and theres a 2D particle system simular to commotion.

mirage works with toaster too much like AuraVT does
