Thread: Words on compound surface!

    Words on compound surface!

I have a compound surface, like a ball, and I want to put a word on it. I have chosen the polygons where to put the word. I load the word up but it does'nt fit using any of the projections....its stretched one way or another, and I've fiddled with it for about an hour using sizing and rotation and position.

How do I EXACTLY place the word? I also cantfigure out how to flatten the surface so that I may size it correctly.

    Thanks.

Sean, you might want to look at the PLG UV plugin tools as well. They are great for unwrapping objects. And free.

This also works very well. Its an old plugin but quite useful. You can interactively change the projects and see it in realtime as well as with UVs too.
