Will there a linux release for LW 9.6 anytime in the near future?

Keeping in mind the top studios in the world are changing into linux based pipelines, is NewTek going to release a linux version of LW. It would be a killer move that would probably make LW THE application. I'm from India and our companies use primarily Maya which cost a lot of money. I'm a independent VFX artist and I run my own studio for small scale projects and I'm currently running Maya on my linux workstation. If LW releases a Linux distribution, I'm all for it. Costing for licenses matter big time for us and Lightwave falls in our favor.

If anyone else agrees on this point, please feel free to add on your thoughts and comments.

    That's great news!

Man, that's a sigh of relief. Now I can happily continue working on a linux pipeline. I already got Nuke goin strong, now with Lightwave on the way, my VFX studio is almost complete.

Thanks for the info.Really appreciate it.
