Thanks for all your help in solving this.

I managed to MDD scan the HardFX scene and save an mdd file, then play the mdd file using your mdd pointer node. Worked very well as a solution.

Note that even HardFX can't load this kind
of bdd file, if it lost its original settings,
at least it needs to be set to '1Piece' mode,
to not get the same kind of error message,
    ...mismatch number of part.

In another side '1Piece' bdd file could be applied
with HardFX (same mode) to a different object,
it doesn't rely to the object geometry.

A Part Move setup sample for linking parts of an object
to particles, emitter is set to object-vertices mode
attached to a special object, a cloud of points matching
centers of parts. Added a Collision floor.

    Nice feature, thanks Denis !

But, I tried to setup some bubbles effect according to your demo scene, but unsuccessfully at the moment
The idea is the allocate each little sphere (as part) of an object to a particle location. The problem is that it is not accurate a the moment and the bubbles are popping randomly (maybe because they all share the same location in the initial object ?)
    Any idea ?

For this case you should use Index output of Part Info node
instead of Nearest Point node, but since you displaced the
bubble shape, you will need to add an offset with a Constant
Vector to match accurately the particle position.

Works like a charm (without adding any offset, btw) ! Thanks again for your help

As a side note, it appears that PartInfo node is listed in DPkit/Displacement menu, don't you think that DPkit/ItemInfo would be a more logical place for it ?

Yes, logical in term, may be not for using it,
this node belongs to this list, because, as said in the doc,
this node ouputs correctly the index, only if it is
connected to Part Move or PolyMove nodes,
so you need always to have Part Info -> Part Move
or Part Info -> Poly Move.

This can work outside the 'Displacement Node Editor' context,
for colouring surface with part index as shown somewhere
in this thread, but using (well named?) Displacement nodes.

    Surely not perfect.

Well, that makes -perfect- sense to me, finally. Thanks for the clarification.
I should read the docs more carefully

I got a report about a crash which happened
in BDD Player node, with object containing single points
    (not belonging to poly),

BDD Player node is working now with these points,
each single point is treated as part (conforming
    BDD Player behavior to HardFX).
Not necessary usefull, but at least doesn't crash anymore.

Part Move node is compatible with single points too,
    with a Z+ default normal.

BDD Player displacement plugin has been updated too.

DP Kit & BDD Player x32 versions available for download.

Hi Denis, awesome job, love the Shifter plugin for many situations, but is it possible to have it travel from point A to B deforming alonga path. Some great guy ,bryphi77, did a tutorial with your plugins:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WV7A...d&noredirect=1

but if i want to travel like in this videos, how this can be done, i'm just starting to understand your plugins, thanx a lot:

check out the ribbons. thanx again.
