    configuration files

    hi,

    how can I have LightWave save configuration files to a locations other than the current one? ( default: C:\Documents and Settings\my_name\ )

    the reason for asking, I want differet configs for 9.2 and 9.5....

    I run LW 9.0, 9.31 and 9.5 on the same PC, all you do is alter your config line in your shortcut.
    G:\Lightwave_9-5\Programs\lightwav.exe -pG:\Lightwave_9-5\Configs -cG:\Lightwave_9-5\Configs

    G:\Lightwave_931\Programs\lightwav.exe -pG:\Lightwave_931\Configs -cG:\Lightwave_931\Configs

    Would be two shortcut paths for Layout in 931 and 95 - with similar for the Modeller exe file.
    Too old to die young.

    I thank you very much for your post, I am not an expert at LightWave…
    What config line do I have to alter, where can I find that shortcut thingie?
    (shortcut path)

    Create a shortcut on your desktop. Rightclick it, "Properties".

    Under the Shortcut tab, you should edit the "Target" line.
