    Movie within an animation

How do i display a move/ animation within an animation?
Like a TV screen playing a movie during an animation.

I tried allying it as a texture, but it stays still; dose it need to be a certain type of file or do you have to do something to make it animate?

You need to save your video that you want to use as a series of Still Frames. i.e. myVideo0001.tga myVideo0002.tga.....

Then load up the Image Editor in Lightwave (button under Scene Editor)

Load up the first image - myVideo0001.tga

Find the dropdown menu item that says "STILL" Change it to "SEQUENCE".

Now go to Surface Editor and apply to the surface.

ANY and ALL textures can be made animated with this technique.
please power off before disconnecting connecting connectors

Simply apply a movie file as you would an image map in your surface editor. The movie will get sucked in frame x frame as your scene animates. You just have to make sure that your imported movie and your scene are set at the same frame rate.

    Good luck.

You can use AVIs and MOVs and more as a texture LW.

The only time you need a stills image sequence is if your going to render over a network as avi or movs need to be unpacked for the specific frame to render other wise everyrone else pritty much said it...
