    Thinking about purchasing LWCAD

    Hello all.

I know I've asked this here before but can't find/remember the responses.

I'm seriously considering buying LWCAD 2.5 for the wonderful snapping and boolean features (and the free ver. 3 upgrade). I need to know if it's stable or not with lightwave 9.3 on OSX (ppc not intel).

    Thanks.

    Buy.
    Buy.

I don't have a mac so I'm just speaking to the value of LWCAD. Viktor has been quite good about putting out an extremely stable product.

    Buy.

It just works. Simple as that.

Version 1.5 was a bit wonky in areas but since 2.0 I've had zero problems with it. That's from my experience as both a PPC and Intel Mac user.

    Can't recommended it enough.

It works well. Like any app, you will experience crash, but not frequently enough to give you problems. IMO, this is the top plug-in for LW.

Pretty darn stable on both my PPC and Intel macs. My favorite must have plugin.

Can you upgrade to 2.5 from the 1.5 version that ships with LightWave or do you have to have a fully purchased version?

There was a rather inexpensive upgrade path from 1.5 t0 2.5. Check the Wtools site, for currently available upgrade prices.

They are offering a special upgrade to 2.5 with 3 free.
