    Detect displaced points

    Hello,

I've got an object displaced with an plane effector. I would like to surface it differently in the displaced zone and in the non displaced zone.
I'm looking a way in the surface node editor to detect if a point ( spot? ) is displaced or not...

    any clues?

    regards,

    eben

Base this on a gradient from pivot, if you are displacing into the positive and negagive, or from some objects pivot that is bisecting your non- and displaced areas.
Gradients seeking out your displaced zones, as it were, are the better bet.
