A strange question - UV mapping from Perspective

I have a strange but simple question. I have a city model and a bunch of photos from the real city and I want to lay the photos on from the perspective they were actually taken from.

So far I have used the Texture Guide/Camera option to make UVs that match the photos but its not as quick or adjustable as I'd like.

Is there anyway to project textures onto a model without UVs or another way to make the UVs easier?

(As a side note if you know of an easier way in another 3D package I'm familiar with most of them but I'd prefer to do it in Lightwave.)
