There's a chance your model got corrupted with the crash. LW stores a hidden copy of your model somewhere on the hard disk, I don't have the location right now.

Depends on what version of Windows. Should be in Documents and Settings/Users/Application Data/Temp/lwhub, IIRC, on Win 2000 and XP. Something like that - I think, in a folder that's set to Hidden, by default. You'd have to have Hub enabled and running, with automatic save enabled, though (which it is, by default). Mac, I don't know, and Vista.... I can't find anything in Vista.

    Trying Accutrans3D, Thanks.

    IMI.

I think my problem may be that I didn't have auto save enabled.
I'm on a mac. I can't find a Cleanup at Startup folder as suggested in my
    1001 LW 3D8 Tips & Tricks book.

    Bummer.
If Accutrans doesn't work, try 3d Exploration, by Right Hemisphere. I think the demo allows saves with no restrictions.

Cool signature line, by the way.

    Yeah, that's right zapper, thanks.
And I meant to say Deep Exploration. Six years after it got bought out and had its name changed, and I'm still calling it 3D Exploration.

Good luck. And enable autosave and keep your index finger on the "s" key at all times.

I am on a Mac as well, so be sure and let me know if you find out where the temp files are.

The temp files are hidden away and need Terminal to find them on a Mac. Richard Brak wrote me an Applescript to extract files from the hidden Hub folder, but it may not help since the hub autosave files are deleted by OS X every time the machine is restarted. Here's what Richard had to say:

"Attached is a (stuffed) applescript with creates an alias to the
directory the Hub uses to store the hub files. The auto saved files are
stored in the lwhub directory (as far as I can tell). To use the
Applescript the users should first unstuff it to create the script
application called "makeAutosaveAlias". The user need only double click
the script and it will then prompt the user for a folder in which the
    alias will be created.

It is a very simple script hence not what I would call "bullet proof"
however, it should be perfectly safe to use."

The Applescript is compressed using Stuffit and then embedded in a zip file to allow it to be uploaded to the forum.
