    Beeeginner

Hello everyone. I am an editor who started compositing several years ago and am FINALLY getting into 3D! I have a friend who needs text that flies onscreen and lands in place. EASY! I figured this would be a great beginner project.
I have zero 3D experience and can't find much documentation on doing text in Lightwave. I'm having trouble extruding the text into 3D and haven't begun to look at animating it!!!
Any tutorials or tips that you could point me to would help a lot. Chris

    THE place to visit.:
    http://members.shaw.ca/lightwavetutorials/Main_Menu.htm

Lots of links to free tutorials, both video and HTML based which you can follow.
Don't forget to also visit Newteks own tutorials page:

Though some of these will be version dependant, I'm assuming you're on LW9 here. Though most are "do-able" in LW8.5 / LW7.5.
