Wow! I like it. Pretty strange. Somewhere between TRON and the Lawnmover Man.. also looks a little bit like a super hero from a Marvel Comic.

How did You made those strange textures?

Thanks, Dirk. The psychedelic textures were made by cropping an hdri sunset and ramping up the reflectivity and luminosity, adding incidence angle gradients to the channels. The wires are 2 point polys, a variation on a couple of android characters 'Calculus Girl' and 'Strangeness' made a while back. It was fun messing with the surfacing nodes though the hard part was building and editing the generic male mesh

very original. I'd love to see all the blue lines giving off that Tron like light. They seem to be to flat. It could really be dramatic to have a nice lighting/glowing effect to them.

As usual wonderfully wierd and distinctive - I agree about the Tron / lawnmower man, but I think there's also a touch of the fantastic 4 / Galactus there and maybe the french scifi graphics?

Can we see some more? What is he going to do?

    scabooba,

Thanks, yes it was a bit of an oversight not to increase the glow effect. The controls were more or less set to default.

    starbase,

Thanks for the kind words, I'm having a go at some alternate renders. It's very influenced by 1960s Marvel - Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko's work was bizarre yet completely believable. It's also impossible to escape from Moebius if you're into off the wall sci-fi art. Also the psychedelic weirdness of 'Yellow Submarine' is wonderful. Someone pointed out a 'Micronauts' influence which was subliminal though I loved those toys as a kid.

Cool stuff! Being an old Tron fanboy it brings back old memories
Very original work. Would have loved to see a smooth shaded snapshot from modeler just to see your model a bit more clearly.
