Thread: Embedding object properties

    Question Embedding object properties

I was reading about object modeling oriented to game engines, and found that there is a "custom properties" tab on a "max" 3d program out there, where you could put text, so as to hint the game engine of the game properties you are intending for that model on the game. My question is if there is a way to do this on LW. I know there is powergons, but don't know if this concept can be taken out to be used on a game engine.

    Thanks!
    It's not impossible, just unlikely.

USing Lscript you could embed any kind of data in your model. Probably the best way to do it is as a custom lscript in a scene with your model, or maybe a displacement or shader. If you do it in the scene, it'll be plain text, but if you use a shader, it'll be in binary format.
