    Graphic Card Question

I have a GeForce Ti 4200 (128mb) and there doesn't seem to be much difference in performance with lightwave compared to my old GeForce MX 440 (64mb).

For example, my character rigs are still just as chuggy on the GeForce Ti 4200. Why is this?

Search the forums for video cards and opengl. Look under the feature Request Forum for a thread created by me near the top.

OpenGL in LW blows. Luckily, that new Geforce 4200 you have isn't that expensive. Imagine if you had gone out at plunked down almost $400 for a 3D Labs VP970 like I did a few years ago (which, by the way, I replaced with an [much less expensive] nVidia card so I could actually play modern video games).

Now imagine you're one of the poor suckers who bought a $1000+ professional video card....
