    World of Tomorrow - Mac

from Post magazine about the film, World of Tomorrow:

"Easily half the film, but probably more like 60 to 70 percent, was done in 3D...all was done on the Mac platform".

Sorry, no LW reference. You can't have everything.

That is awesome. Check out the company's website though, www.luma-pictures.com, and they say that they use Maya oh well, like you said, can't have everything right away. Hey, they just switched from PC's to all Mac, maybe they will switch from Maya to LW too

Oh, I doubt that. You wouldn't give up your Ferrari for an SUV, but there's plenty of driving and places you need to go where you'd want the SUV instead.

I think more studios are doing what Zoic is doing (mixing LW and Maya via Beaver Project). The glamor stuff is Maya (character animating, effects, etc) whereas the heavy lifting is LW (modeling, maybe texturing, rendering with a renderfarm).

Still, all that fun can be done on Macs. That's the important thing.
