Thread: I can't even get started

    I can't even get started

There must be something wrong with me.

    I've tried two tutorials now,

And I just can't get past setting the new target for the config files.

I try to follow the syntax of the tutorials, but I must be missing something.

    The system drive is Q

    And my syntax is

    "Q:\Program Files\LightWave [8]\Programs\Lightwav.exe -cQ:\Program Files\Lightwave [8]\Config"

I keep on getting an error message saying that the name nominated in the target box is not valid.

There's gotta be something really obvious that I'm missing here.....................any thoughts?

    Try this:

    "Q:\Program Files\LightWave [8]\Programs\Lightwav.exe" -c"Q:\Program Files\Lightwave [8]\Config"

Also note there is no space between the -c and the path.

You may also encounter problems with ScreamerNet and spaces in pathnames, so you'll need to enclose the paths in quotes there too.

    Hope that helps!

    Cheers
