    Space Fighter: my own design

This is an idea that I cooked up while running through the Inside Lightwave 7 tuts. I finally got around to fixing all of the little things. What do you think?

Yeah. Looks a nice design. decent amount of detail & looks right.

The colour scheme doesn't help it too much though, it is pretty distracting

It doesn't sit too well in that background because the point of view makes it look about 4 feet long. if you found a BG image with a lower eyeline, and rendered it from the correct eye level for the image, or use one taken from much higher up it would work.

How about this, little bit more sporty. Im only just begining to figure out how to do compositing, getting the angle right is seriously difficult (ofcourse there is probably an easy way that I havnt figured out yet). the backdrop pic is the best I could find on the internet for what I wanted.

    Hah! Smart

The POV is much nicer now don't you think? I know what you mean about getting BG images, especially uncluttered ones.

Yeah, I realized that in order to get the POV right I needed to put the LW camera aproximately in the sam position that tha real camera was in. The problem that I had was that I had a particular shot in mind for the ship and I let that override all sence of reason . What I really need to do is grab a camera and take my own pics.

    BTW thanks for the input.
