New release - HDR Lightstudio Tungsten working with Lightwave 2019

A new release in Maj, and now with indie version which I do not think they had previously..and it may be good since it was quite an expensive
    plugin.

Lightwave in there as one of the supported 3D software, I thought it was Discontinued for Lightwave some time ago, but that doesnīt seem to be the case now.
It is supposed to work with these versions..

    Requirements

    • Software delivery via internet download
    • Internet connection required for license activation
    • HDR Light Studio software requires approx. 200MB disc space
    • Preset light content requires approx. 7GB disc space
    • CPU based, no special graphics card required
    • Compatible with Windows and MacOS
    • Compatible with LightWave 3D 2015, 2018, 2019

HDR Light Studio for LightWave3D is compatible with these renderers:
    LightWave 3D, Octane

It's a good tool that I almost purchased. But then they got ridiculous on the pricing. Good to see that they now have an Indie version. Last year, I bought into the stand-alone Real HDR: https://www.real-hdr.com/

Doesn't have feature parity with HDR Lightstudio, but they are adding new features.

Same here, it becaming ridiculous in pricing from my point of view, and at the same time there was a lot of uncertainty when the next Lightwave version came out.
So I need some time to check this up again during summer and see what I need, going indie and a decent prizing certainly made it more interesting again.
Donīt know where I heard that they discontinued it for Lightwave..perhaps it was only during the development phase of the new Lightwave from 2015 and to 2018-19 version.

a bit problematic to know what renderspeed is to be expected, the vid you posted first is from a completely different render engine in Lightwave...and faster I think.

yep, the video is more about workflows.

but anyways, won't buy it any time soon

Great heads up, this is really helpful - I've been thinking about a project this product would really help with (well, speed things along)

    And this also.

Both posts have got me thinking about better ways and means of achieving aircraft renders which "get close" to the older, hand painted model aircraft box art look, for example like these:

Yep, we have access to many tools for rendering photoreal aircraft - but I reckon nothing beats the amazing work of the guys who painted these ...
