    MP4 recording on TriCaster Mini

We are recording the MP4(H.264) recording on TriCaster Mini HDMI.
The recorded MP4 files have some noises when using the HDMI Embedded audio and Line audio input.

We can see this problem on multiple TriCaster Minis unit.

We would appreciate it if you would tell me the good solution.

we bring everything in from a mixer.
We set all of the levels on the mixer and bring the mixer output into the Tricaster via XLR calbles

Could you perhaps share a short sample clip, even if converted to audio only as an .mp3? I will help others to better understand the nature of what you are hearing

    Thanks

The old version(Rev 5-1-181112) of AEv2 might have no problem.

Thank you for supplying the samples, but I just listened in headphones and did not hear any obvious noises, static, distortions - what are we listening for? Can you please describe the issue? Do you hear these noises when playing back in the DDR, or outside the TriCaster Mini also?

    Thank you

I had the same issue with the same version of firmware on our Tricaster 8000. Playing back on various PCs and Macs had strange audio click and glitches, but playing in back from within multiple different Tricasters was fine. I made sure I had the latest NewTek codecs installed. So I rolled back to the previous version of firmware which was fine. I didn't fogbuz it at the time as we were in the process of purchasing AE3 which we have now done.

Only popped into my mind now as something was recorded on our Mini running 5-1-181220 and I had to re-encode through my 8000 to allow others to play it and edit it without glitches.

For me it's only ever when playing back outside of the NewTek environment, it's not present when recording MOVs for me, only when recording H.264 MP4s.

    Hope this is useful.

We are having same audio problems with Tricaster 460 model. Quicktime is fine but H.264 mpeg 4 is unusable. I listened to your files and same problem here. I have been online and emails with Newtek Support for a week now and finally today they acknowledged there is an encoding problem. This is with latest Advanced Version 2 Build 5-1-190425. I didn't have these problems with previous build but so far they are refusing to send me that install file, saying its no longer available. Not much help. If anyone here has a previous version I'd be indebted to you.

How did you roll back to previous version? My understanding is that we have to do a factory re-install, which takes us back to the original basic version and then update that to Advanced. Unfortunately I don't have a previous Advanced version still.

No you do not need to Restore, just install an older version. Of course you need to HAVE the older version which is why I save last few downloads on the D: drive.
    Thanks

EDIT: Looks like I only have 5-1-181220 at this location, might have something else at home and can look when I get there
