    GPU deNoiser malfunctions in renderSequence

    Hi Guys,

I am rendering a sequence of more than 100 frames. Hi Res, but low Quality lights. To pretty up the picture a little, I activated the GPU denoiser.
Well ... the first 13 to 32 go well, and all of a sudden, while the render preview is still ok, the output files (png32) are turning 100% black. Then, after 10-20 frames, one frame is saved correctly, but afterwards everything is black again.

This is very frustrating. Anyone of you experienced similar problems?
Or have you rendered a sequence with gpu-denoise turned on without any problems?

    thanks in advance
    Wolfgang

Like the documentation says: " Only works for still images (not network rendered) and requires an Nvidia Geforce, Quadro or Tesla graphics card with at least a Kepler chipset. There are no user-configurable options"

Note to myself: There are times, you should read the manual.

    thanks for pointing that out!

    Hey Wolfgang,
Like you found out, it certainly can work, but it's more likely not to.

FYI, I rendered 140 frames this morning in LW2019.0.2 using the GPU de-noiser with no problems. No all-black frames at all. The green bar in the Render Status window indicated the de-noiser was applied to each still image comprising the sequence. I used TGA24 files rather than PNG files.
