Visual Effects created in Lightwave for Oscar-winning Green Book

I put together a demo of how I used Lightwave 2018 for Green Book VFX.

I use Fusion for slap comps. The bridge shot was tracked in SynthEyes by Matthew Merkovich. Final comps are done in After Effects and Nuke.

Thanks for posting that Mr Rid. Very encouraging to see such seemless work done with reltively basic & accessable tools.

Congratulations, the award and recognition is very well deserved. And thank you for taking the time to put that demo video. Very inspiring.

It is not surprising that it vanished. It may either be YouTube's automated copyright protection or someone higher up the production ladder may have had an issue. It's difficult to share BTS content.

    Congrats David,
You really have a special sense of Mixing various 3D elements in to Live footage in a way that is almost seamless, so you really do not perceive it to be 3D.
I reckon that may be why they hired you to get "old" stuff in to our modern world, I reckon after seeing some glimps of cars on that bridge scene.

he could complain saying it is used for educational purposes, that's what i do. been working so far.
and be sure to add Copyright © in the YT description.
