Proposal: Classic vector illustration tools that LW could implement in Layout

Here are a couple of Suggestions for the Lw development group.

    * Illustrator like vector drawing tools for sketching splines in Layout would be awesome.
Im gain if you could controls those splines with Bézier curves. And have
Lines, polylines and polygons(with flat primitives).

There are tons of advantages to be able to "draw" splines in 3d space. And when frozen the splines could become geometry.

    What do you guys think?

I made Bezier custom polygon handler 13 years ago:

Until user freezes it is true Bezier (also inside of LWO file).

My Bezier (which is free plugin) is understood by EasySpline and can be used to generate mesh (the first virtual mesh, later frozen mesh).

Forget Illustrator, a suite of Shape Tools as found in Affinity Designer for building Spline in Layout would be amazing! They are extremely flexible and simple to use, especially since they are procedural so you can go back and edit. Animatable versions in Layout would be killer!

I just got my copy of Affinity, Photo + Designer. For $100 and perpetual license and updates it's a bargain. Haven't looked back.

Not in layout right? as was requested.

Svg format...awesome, check how blender works with inkscape, that is what we should have, any path can be tweaked with bezier handles, you could turn on 3d per path, or per closed shape, you can animate the path growth since it works in the blender scene and not just a modeling tools.

But this is import stuff, direct drawing of spline paths is something that fits a need for drawing motion paths, particle paths, spline paths..but doesn´t do so much for enhancements for a modeling part.
