    Modeler 2019 Question....

Simple question....has Modeler been upgraded to be multithreaded in 2019? (I prolly know the answer, but never hurts to ask).

No, but not all operations can be multi-threaded in modeling either.

Some things may be..such as what ever it has to do when you activate extrude..on large poly objects it has to think a very long time before you can do anything.

they have fixed things like band glue, and I have noticed that through 2018 to 2019 the transform and chamfer tools have got a bit snappier in most situations, and also added the ability to cancel operations like Booleans and stencils if you know you messed it up (check the progress bar, it now says press escape to cancel!)

the alternative to a Modeler upgrade > new CPU

not a solution perhaps, but should speed things up

    AMD is nice these days.

I have a Threadripper 16core..so not much faster I can go without replacing computer.

The operations I been needing extrude lately have been to give thickness to parts for zbrush....I found a work around for that.

I do use edit edges alot, just not on these particular things.

be interested in render times on the threadripper. would be good to do a thread on that where we can see machine specs and render times for a std scene
