    Spline displacement problem

    Hi Folks

I set up Spline displacement according to the video tutorials.
    Works great.
But how can I move the complete rig to where I want it?
This is never shown in the videos.
When pushing around, the positioning in the rig is no longer correct.
Even if I attach the object and the rig to a top zero Null.
Move Path does not work either.
    Did I miss anything?

    Regards
    Romizer

The tutorials I've used have had a single master null object that all of the other nulls used in the spline are parented to. If you move master null, the others will follow.

    Good Luck,

Do you have your object Schlaunch setup correctly? Is it set for Spline Control in the Object Properties? Does it have bones? Are the bones set to Spline Control?

Do you have any key frames on the object that are making it move relative to the Top null?

Never use Spline Displacement with Control Points from other objects/nulls. It’s nice to begin with but when you reopen the scene everything will be reset. The only way around this is to save with your slider on frame 0 every time!! It’s a shame as it’s a nice feature but totally unworkable as it is (I’ve learnt the hard way!).

I usually refresh with this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHAtN-gpyh8 Especially if I'm trying to deform an object with bones and spline control. She shows it about 6min / 40secs in. You can parent the object, the SplineControl Master, and the null with bones to an overall Master Null parent and move that, like Oldcode said.

    Thansk for the quick replys!!

@oldcode: Setup for the Schlauch (in english = Hose) Object should be correct in the object properties Panel according to the Tutorials. No bones, no movement with the Spline nulls. Only topnull moves up a bit. Object Scxhlauch is movin away from ist control Points.

@raw-m: it appears to be so :-)

@mummyman: Thanks for the link! I'll try that

Thanks all, will post my result.

OK, I worked through the video. And it works wonderfully with the bones. Now I can place and animate the rig where I want.
    Perfect!

    Thanks all for Support!
