Hey Chuck - can we assume this is a "no Octane renderer" competition? Or is Octane allowed as well?

I skimmed through the rules and it sounds like you can use any 3D render engine you want.

The contest is by Hum3D, with sponsorships from a whole lot of vendors, including us. In reviewing the rules, it looks to me like anything is eligible for the main prizes. Only if you are submitting an entry targeted to be eligible for the special Best LightWave Render prize in addition to the main prizes would you need to restrict to rendering with LightWave's native renderer.

Thanks Chuck - we'll take "rendering in LightWave" to mean the native LW renderer, as the likes of Octane does actually do it's magic inside LW

Nice competition, and plenty of time for people to send work.

Good to see NT sponsoring it too, well done.
