    NDI ISO Recording

    Hi,

I'm looking for a way to ISO record up to 6 or 7 NDI sources, in addition of the PGM signal. TC-1 is not really an option since it's up to 4 iso channels, and can't record NDI inputs as far as I know.

So I'm considering ISOCORDER PRO, but I'm having a few questions :

What's the actual codec ISOCORDER is using ?

Is there any way to name all channels in a kind of automatic way, or do I have to name them individually ?

Some for recording file paths, should they be set for each channel, or is there a way to set a path for all channels at a time ?

Many thanks for oyur help, and I'd be happy as well to hear about any other solution.

    Cheers !

This link has a chart with the recording formats of typical resolutions using IsoRecorder Pro. Compatibility with major applications is also listed.

You do have to set the filename on each channel individually, they can each have their own path as well. There isn't a way to set them all globally.

If you download the free NDI IsoCorder you will have a good idea on how the Pro version will be configured, just with a lot more channels.

    Hi,

Maybe check out Softron Movie Recorder, this fully supports NDI network recording in any resolution and can record into most popular CODEC's, ProRes, DNxHD, XDCam, H.264, H.265, XAVC, AVC-Intra etc.

It can also record NDI into multiple different CODEC's at the same time, supports live Edit-while-ingest file recording, has lots of file naming and metadata features and can record sources to multiple locations at the same time (as well as lots of other features).

It very easy to use and has worked exceptionally well for us in live and broadcast events.

I have tried the past few days to download the free version, but after signing up, it will not download or send an email to download. Is there an issue? I've checked my spam filter as well.

I was using the main NDI Applications link. I tried various browsers and systems. Kane then gave me the downloads page for Newtek with all the Newtek software which worked.

    Hi John,

Thanks for the links. I've tested across several browsers and received an email each time the request was made. This was done on PC and Mac. I'll keep looking into any failed form requests and download links.
