Lake or river bottom from sonar

    Just a wild ask -
Has anyone been able to import a 3D file / model from a "fish finder" or other consumer grade sonar product.
I hope to do so but have found no clear path as of yet. I am looking at Raymarine, Garmin, and others.
Some will out put a contour map at 1' intervals but this is a 2D map useful but hope to find a quick clear and clean import.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmguv1gKUpg A couple of examples of sonar out put in application.

    Thanks. W.

Well, Raymarine appears to support obtaining 3D output data in some format, based on the examples provided (which appear post-processed by computer).

Once you have data captured in any sort of 3D coordinate space, converting it into something visualizable is a fairly direct process -- everything depends on precisely the formats available, though.

After a long wait on the phone Raymarine said they don't or you can't export to a 3d format. But I think you are right it must be able to be done BUT I don't have the savvy as of yet to do it.
