Looks like you are on Windows 7? The new NDI Scan Converter requires Windows 8 or 10. You can install this version to get the rest of the updated tools, then download NDI Tools Portable to get the NDI Scan Converter that works on Windows 7 systems.

    Hello!

I have a customer that also wants to install to a windows 7 machine. But I cannot find the download link for the portables. It is not in the email I receive when filling out the download form for NDI Tools. Has it gone hidden?

Here are the windows operating system requirements for 3.5 NDI Tools Applications.

Microsoft Windows operating system (32-bit compatible; 64-bit recommended)
-NDI Scan Converter requires Windows 8 or better
-NDI Virtual Input require Windows 7 or better
-All other NDI Tools require Windows Vista or better

    Portable Tools have been discontinued.

let me follow up on this thread - even though the Portable Tools have been discontinued, would it be still possible to download the portable NDI Scan Converter? As my Win7 machine does not support the 3.5 version, I am made to use some old version of NDI Tools instead. Could anyone help?

    Thanks, Matej

We have the same problem. We use a number of Windows 7 machines (intentional). On top of this, when we are in production we do not know from one moment to the next what OS a client is going to bring to present with. We need scan converter support for Windows 7 still. What can be done here, portable tools are gone apparently?

I have an old copy of NDI Tools Portable that works on Windows 7. It looks to be from January 2018. Scan Converter is version 3.5.0.0.

Let's see if I can figure out how to attach it here...

Well, apparently I can't. I zipped up the folder and it appears to upload, but then doesn't show up as an attachment. No error message.

If anyone has somewhere for me to upload it to, just let me know.

I could also email it. It's about 10.5 MB.

Just to be clear, we cannot properly be seen to condone distribution of our products by others, so if you have something like this in mind, kindly attend to it behind my back.

    Hey Steve,

I thought about that, but since it's a free program, I didn't think there would be issue. I won't share it if it's a problem.

There seems to be a need for the portable NDI tools (and Scan Converter on Windows 7) and you guys have been strangely silent on threads where people are asking for it. Can you tell us why?

If I knew, I'd have done so by now, sorry. It may be as simple as not wanting to have to support multiple versions, I really can't say.
