    TriCaster Export not reliable

    Hi everyone,

We've been having some issues with exporting captured images on the TriCaster. I have it all set up in a macro to take a still grab and add it to the export queue. It then sends to an FTP server on the local network.

99% of the time this works but other times the capture takes place but it doesn't seem to export. The progress animation on the 'Export' button flashes up for about half a second then stops.

I've disconnected the FTP server from the network to assess the TriCaster's behaviour. When this happens the export process tries for some time to access the server before failing. This leads me to believe it's an issue on the TriCaster side rather than connectivity.

Does anyone know of a way to reliably add stills to the export queue?

Edit: I'm using the TriCaster Mini Advanced Edition

Not to say there could not be an issue on the TriCaster side, but it's not clear to me that your experiment demonstrates that. It would not be unusual for a process to continue trying to connect to an external process so as to execute its function before failing after some predetermined time has elapsed. That seems to be what you are describing.
