    Follow path timing? Rove across time?

    Is there a way set up a curvaceous motion path with 5-8 keyframes, and then animate the speed of your object along that path separately?

    In After Effects you can create your path, and then tell the middle keyframes to ROVE ACROSS TIME which makes the object step even intervals along the path. Then you can, say, tell the end keyframe to ease in, so your object will start moving fast along your curvy path and then slow to a gentle stop at the end. This is more or less what I want to do, but with semi more complex timing.

    ??? How do I do this in LW ???

    I messed with curve to path out of Modeler some, but as near as I can tell, that just gives you even more keyframes to be unable to massage the timing of.

    I seem to recall seeing a tut a long time ago where dude had a space ship that transformed, and several different parts folded out and clicked into place, and then he rigged the entire animation to a slider or null, so he could control it with just that. I suppose something like that would work, but I forget even what to type in to try to look it up?

    As always, any help would be appreciated.

    Heh, ask me to remember a name, phone number or a thing to do and I'll probably forget. Ask me which one of 250+ videos that i watched 10 years ago had that spaceship animation tip in it...

    Use curves with curve constrain or splines with spline control to easily control ease in and out of the motion along the curve/spline.
