Regular Tricaster Mini and Tricaster 40 both gone?

It appears the regular Tricaster Mini is gone and has been replaced by the "Tricaster Mini Advanced"? It seems this is the same unit except it now comes with the Advanced Edition software? This really got us on several bids that were out. They all came back saying that the Tricaster Mini was discontinued. Now they all have to go through the re-bid process (all in all it will cost us probably 2 months).

Going through all of this, it also appears the 40 is gone too.

I'm not in sales, Jon, but it's my impression that the Mini has been shipping with AE pre-installed for awhile now. I don't think the price went up, so not sure why it would force a re-bid unless simply because the SKU might have changed (beneficially) ... but what do I know?

Schools... business' don't fathom the crap that has to be done to get their wares into schools. Compounded by the free give-aways, not in this realm, but it is felt the same, nonetheless.

And if they fathom it, rarely do they go the depths to make things better.
I feel this post. (Ordering time for schools.)

    Hi Jonathan,

You're correct, Mini hardware has not changed one bit, just comes with the AE Upgrade (previously a $1995 option) pre-installed - at no extra charge - wonderful deal for the customer!

As for the TC40, yes that is EOL/discontinued.

    Thanks

I work with schools a lot and am aware of the difficulties in budgeting for such purchases, getting bids, etc.

Speaking of schools, Newtek is offering a substantial discount with a Mini Advanced Educational Promo for schools through 6/22/18, save $1000

    Thanks
