Convert .max to 3DS or .lwo?

    Hey,

Hoping someone could convert a .max file to something I can open in LW 2018.
I have an older PC, and tried installing a trial version of 3D Max
to do the conversion, but for some reason I can’t get any version of it to install.

Pretty stuck at this point and would very much appreciate any thoughts or ideas what
    to try next.

    Thanks,

    Carl

Is it the geometry that you want?

If so, why not export it as .obj from Max and then load the .obj into LightWave?
    Favorite Waves: LW3.5, 5.6c, 7.5, 8.5, 9.6, 2015.

Thanks, but file size is too large.

JohnMarchant was kind enough to convert the geometry for me but I’m lost at assigning all the textures in LW
which were lost in the conversion.
