    thats very good...

    couple of things though:
the wiskers are a bit short and the fur looks a bit thick...unless it's a ferral cat

i heard that a cats whiskers are of a length relative to the girth of the widest point of their body, which they use for judging tight spaces....

....not sure if this is true, but it seems to make sense. So remember, fat cats have longer whiskers.

And i've always found that single strands of hair, such as eyelashes or whiskers, actually look better when simulated with actual geometry.

    Nice Kitty....
I have been thinking of going to the full sas but am still put off by the price. What are the main differences between the lite version and the full?

Here are two wireframes of the cat.

    Hello Chrysolithos
Saslite is very very limited (no shadows, less control and
so on) compared to full version. It is worth the price.
You can get some nice fur or hair with saslite but
it is very time consuming and you have to use
    many tricks.

Thanks for the info, Marcus. Does anyone know how well Sas Full will intergrate with LW 8?

    That looks real!

Yup, Danger Kitty is real. I had just read the "Cat with Sas lite" thread and saw all the reference photos there, so I thought I'd post one. The pic is only 7Kbytes big so it shouldnt bog down the server too much. I had hoped I could convince my kat to stay off of my keyboard by bribing her with a posted pic oh her on this forum, but it didn't work (SIGH).

Oh, I thought you made it.

Nope. But I did make this one. Back with an Amiga and probably LW 3 or 4. These charactures are the reason I am so interested in Sasquatch.

Good job with the fur. At first glance I thought it was a pic of a cat!! But only for a blink of an eye. Good Job
