    Nurbs spaceframe - LWCAD 5.0042, LW 2015.3

I've made a simple roof spaceframe from nurbs, mainly "pipe" and "sphere".
My intention is to test and get familiar nurbs and LWCAD 5.*, rather than produce a nice model.
I'll spend the coming week with LWCAD 5 which is pretty good but I haven't yet got on top of instances in modeler.

btw, nurbs do respond to constraints such hinges, even collision.

    nurbs - colliding.

I used the content file "Hinge-Point 2 Point.lws" and replaced the nulls with my 2 nurbs models for the spaceframe.
All went well. This was a test to see what can and can't be done with nurbs.

I've been working on ways to "bend" a nurbs spaceframe - which can't be done.
My best method to date is this one.
I used spline control and instancing as per JH video -

Sloppy drafting, I've spent my time working out a method to achieve a curved structure.
The next step is to work out a double curvature structure and my sloppy drafting has given me a few ideas.

So can LWCad's nurbs be rendered without converting to polygons?
    uh wha?

    Yes, in LW 2015.3

I have other LW versions, but have not tried and won't.

    Cheers.

The image I posted of curved splined instances was an F9.
    You'll be OK.
    Cheers, Terry.

What settings are you using to render the nurb wireframes?

EDIT: Ah never mind; just the stand edge rendering
    uh wha?

I've tidied up - the top and bottom chords go straight through in both directs.
The VPR render time is shown.

LWCAD 5 is available to upgrade for LWCAD 4 owners?

Sorry, I've been watching the Rugby World Cup, so not much work progress.
I haven't achieved double curvature (with nurbs).
    So far.

This is why it's important to achieve double curvature.

I know Proton's tut on microphone grill with lines, and I think neg line thickness and dropping on a ball.
    That's not applicable here.
