supported file types and basic help.

Sorry if this has already been answered.
I'm having trouble loading an animation into chronoscupt. Our animations have been cached as .abc files but I can't bring them in. 'load object' wont load it though it says it's supported and 'load cache' can't recognize it.
could someone please explain how to bring in a .abc animation or what file type to cache animations out from maya that will work in chronosculpt?
