    Hard edges on export

    Hi,

    I want to model my game assets so that they have a look like seen in this link: http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/71743.
    I did some tests and just used 6-sided cones. However, when I export to collada, all the edges are smoothed. How can I achieve these hard edges in my models? The objects will be UV-mapped as well. The target game engine is Torque3d.

    What if you unweld the polygons? Ctrl + u

    Thanks, this did the trick. I could not try yet, but does have unwelding the poly have an effect on the uv texture maps?

    Not really, should be fine. Actually, due to limitations in how LightWave handles UVs in Modeler, you sometimes have to unweld all the polygons to get predictable behaviour when editing the UVs, so unwelding is "good" for your UVs
