    Radiosity Issue

    Hi,

I have an object with a high luminosity and radiosity on high so to get this object lighting my scene.
I am getting blobs of light appear in the scene, and not sure how to smooth these out, I have tried light samples etc but am still getting blobs of lighter areas rather then smooth illumination.

    Any help appreciated.

Too small lit areas will need A LOT of samples to make sure some hits it! Things that can make it easier:
    -Use sRGB color space preset.
    -Pump up the RPE
    -Make the luminous things larger
    -Uncheck draft mode in VPR
-Watch tuts on radiosity: http://www.except.nl/lightwave/RadiosityGuide95/ for instance

Thanks Slartibartfast I will try those things out, and that guide looks very informative.

Ditto. Set RPE = 2000 or more and SBR = 1/10th RPE (so 200 in this example). 2 bounces is all you really need for most scenes.
