    CasparCG

    Hello,

as the CasparCG Server (from V2.0.4 on) has built in support for outputing IVGA, i thought it might be interesting to bring some newer tutorial videos to your attention.

It might be also interesting to watch this video
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JRg6...iXsSOSvFge-LvQ
where a new feature of the comming version is shown.

Its a big improvement to support photoshop files as dynamic templates, perfect for all out there that are not so familiar with flash.

This whole system (CasparCG) is (this time) not that easy to use as other (sold) systems might be and often requires a heavily pimped PC but its open source, free and getting better and better every day.
If you look at the CasparCG forum you will find free Caspar based solutions for a lot of tasks like multi channel Instant Replay .... and so on.

    best regards,
    Walter

CasparCG rocks for those on tight budgets.
And even more so when some bucks and engineering skills are had to go along with it.
    Thanks for the links.

Not only for those with tight budgets, it seems even for big companys with high demands. I found a nice technical review written by "Jonas Hummelstrand" giving a little bit more details about CasparCG.

    Oh yeah,
It's a very versatile tool. Vimlesh, over in their forums, has produced a very cool "Simple Playout" system for use with CasparCg. Oh boy, is it not simple any more!

Considering where it comes from, I believe the national Swedish television system, it is designed for use by some big boy toys. Which is why it is so nice to see NewTek and the TC getting such professional nods from other big boy toy companies. (Thinking chyron stuff back when they laughed at our Toasting.)

I finally watched a cricket game because of CasparCG: so much talk in their forums about making a cricket client. Looked at one and had to acknowledge: lots going on in one of those games. And CasparCg is often used to provide the graphics for some. Very powerful little tool, indeed.

    Take care,
    Robert

Hello Friends, someone knows where I cand fin a manual of CasparCG ??

I have a lot of simples mistakes that i think are easy to solve, but there is not any documentation about software.

for example some of my videos dont playthe last second of the video that I put on Air, if the video last 10 seconds the software only plays 9 sec, but in other kind of video it play well so I dont know if there any restriction with videos.
Also some videos do a Loop when I check the Loop option and work fine, but others dont do any loop

and have some others isses like this.

Tricaster is the best thing that i've used since I played with my atari

Somewhere, there is talk about this. The forum was the manual when I was using it long ago. Edit: Got distracted -- the conversation for a fix had frames being added at the end to compensate for this problem.
The sdk is a good place; find it at the bottom of this page for .net - http://casparcg.com/download.html.
Seems they are going the github/wiki route for manual-like stuff. Like here, the configuration page: https://github.com/CasparCG/help/wik...-Configuration.
    Such good stuff...
