Yes, it could be a bit confusing since there is no .p file in the zip, but only .dll.
You have to add the .dll files as regular plugins (.p are in fact .dll as far as I understand).
    Hope it may help.

Just follow the instructions from the zip, replacing "LW_OceanToolkit_x64.p" with "hotocean4lw_x64.dll"

    Just rename the file

(.dll in to .p, and add the plugin)

It's the name of output to the compilation that has "dll" extension, that not kind to its operation.

That isn't what the instructions say. They make a clear distinction between the dll files and the .p file. The install instructions say, place the .dll files into the program folder , so is that still necessary? This is really confusing to me.

If the version you are using is the one I compiled and published on Google Code, yes you need the .p where you want and de .dll on the programs folder.

Maxim Capra did a recompile of it that you can found here and doesn't require the .dll.

The original thread from Maxim is this one: Houdini Ocean Toolkit 4 LW

I will not do any changes to HOT Ocean until LW next update is released.

    Cheers,
    David
